My Norcold NV7 blinks red 10 times in a row. Is there a way to reset it or do I need to replace the control board? See more »

There is no reset for this code. Check to make sure the blue wire at the power board and optical board has a tight connection. If it does, you should replace this power board 639593.

The 638189 that you're referring to is just a manufacturing stamp that goes on the Norcold 639593 board. Yes, this is the correct power board for all N7, NA7, N8, NA8, N10, and NA10 model refrigerators and it will have that 638189 physically marked on the board.

This would indicate that you likely have a ventilation issue with that unit. Check out our tech blog on articles for improving air flow behind the refrigerator.

The fridge is brand new I checked for voltage at the control panel and I get 12.5 Volts and when plugged in I get 13.5 Volts. See more »

This is due to a connection issue or a failure in one of the two boards (most likely the rear power board). First, check for a good connection on the solid blue wire at the power board and optical board. If it's making good contact, we highly recommend replacing the power board:

NA8LXR - only 2 years old. (Used about 3 weeks/year). The freezer works perfect but fridge struggles to cool to 8-10c. I called local dealer and disconnect thermistor to troubleshoot and now cools to 2c. Is that all I need is a new thermistor? See more »

This is likely due to ventilation or off level operation. When you're in a hot climate, it's really important that the ventilation in the back is clear and that you have good air flow.

If your gas valve wires are plugged in tight, turn the refrigerator on and off. If that did not solve your issue, replace the power board 639593.

It's either a connection with the blue wire at one of your boards or the lower Norcold power board 639593.

Yes, it will. The letters at the end just refer to cosmetic differences in the refrigerator.
