Cooling Unit

Norcold N1095 Cooling Units
The cooling unit is the sealed absorption system (boiler, condenser, evaporator and absorber) that actually makes the cold in your Norcold N1095. When it fails, the refrigerator won't cool on any power source, even though the heater or flame is working. Other common signs are an ammonia smell or yellow residue on the back of the refrigerator.
Before replacing a cooling unit, rule out simpler causes like the heating element, burner, thermistor, ventilation and leveling. Always confirm your model and serial number, since cooling units can change by serial range.
