Has your Norcold N811, N821, or N841 door broken off? Here are your options...

These models have door hinges that are made of plastic, and so they quite the reputation for the door breaking off. The old replacement was simply to replace the door itself and you'd be all set. Norcold used to make a metal reinforced hinge kit that would work in conjunction with the new door and you'd never have to worry about it again. Unfortunately, Norcold has discontinued the door that you need. The part number is 623955 and it's been out of production for a couple of years now and so it won't be an easy thing to track down.

What we are telling customers faced with this dilemma is to consider upgrading the refrigerator. There are many parts that could fail on this refrigerator that would force you into replacing the entire Norcold unit and there are only so many bandaids you can slap on it before it's your only option.

The replacement model for the N811, N821, N841, NX841, and NXA841 is the N8X.
