Description

Norcold Lower Refrigerator Door Assembly 623955 or 638835 (smooth interior texture) DISCONTINUED

We hate to be the bearer of bad news but.... this door has been discontinued by Norcold and is no longer available for purchase in the industry. There is no known fix for a broken lower door hinge which is likely what you've experienced. Due to the fact that many of your model's replacement parts are obsolete, we recommend looking into replacing the refrigerator. The exact replacement for what you have can be found at the link below. It's the same exact exterior dimensions with the same connections. Out with the old, in with the new!

NORCOLD N7X REFRIGERATOR (replaces the N611, N621, and N641)

    easy to break

Posted by Unknown on 24th Feb 2016

I had to purchase this replacement door because the bottom hinge that connects broke, not sure how maybe from age of refrigerator. Anyway, the tabs are plastic and if you break one of them you can't just replace the tab, you have to buy entire door!! They sell an optional reinforcement you can add, I wish I knew about that when I purchased my trailer. At least it was very easy to replace, 10 mins at most.

    easy install, but needs instructions

Posted by Unknown on 10th Dec 2015

The door was easy to install but I would not know how to replace the front panel if I hadn't read previous reviews. The door contains no instructions. The install itself is easy and fast. The bottom hinge broke off for no apparent reason.

    Front Panel

The door I needed. It looks good just have to install front panel to make it complete...As mentioned before though norcold needs to figure a different way to do that hinge system.

    Front panel

Had to replace door as the lower hinge rusted and fell off. Had a very hard time getting the old panel off as it was glued onto old door. Used a large putty knife and was able to get it free. Service rep was very helpful over the phone

    Front Panel

I had a similar experience with lower hinge breaking. Surprising and entertaining at the same time :) I would have liked to know that the front panel is not installed in the replacement door. It arrived with an exposed front. I tore mine from the replaced door and attempted to "slide" it into the new door, super tight fit, broke in the corner, no option for installing a panel? Thank you for making these parts available and I agree, a new site with more details and better pics would have felt more secure in my purchase.

Maybe time for a new design?

Posted by Terry on 19th May 2015

Found this site by way of my dealer (helping them with what part I need) And as I read.... This seems to be a common problem with this model. I opened the fridge door for the first time this season the other night to give it the once over.... cleaning and such, only to get it 3/4 open and hear.....SNAP. And there was the door, on the floor. Nothing in the fridge.... wasn't even started this year. Just normal spring cleaning. Hopefully since the trailer is still under extended warranty, the replacement door will be covered!
