This fault code means that there is an AC Heater fault. The cause of this could be a failed AC heating element, bad AC heater connection, improper AC heater connection, or the rear power board.
- 1. Disconnect the refrigerator from AC power (unplug from the outlet in the back).
- 2. The next think you'll want to do is verify that you have your AC heater connected properly. Below is an article explaining how it should be connected.
Proper Norcold AC Heater Connection
- 3. Next, check to make sure the glass fuse on the power board is good. This is your AC fuse.
- 4. Next, you'll want to make sure the heater has the correct resistance. You do this by putting your meter to Ohms and touching your hot lead to one of the AC heater wires and your ground lead to the other AC heater wire. You do not need any power getting to the unit while doing this test. If you have an N611, N621, N641, N811, N821, N841, N1095, 900 or 9000 model, the AC Heater should read 48 ohms of resistance. If you have a 1200 or 1210 model, the AC Heater should read 64 ohms of resistance.
- If the AC heater is not within specifications, replace the AC Heater (AC Heating Element).
- If the AC heater is within specifications, replace the power board (rear circuit board).
