Description
Norcold Thermistor Assembly 636658 (replaces the 620871)
This is the current thermistor for all Norcold 1200 models, the 1210, and N1095. "Thermistor" = thermostat. Any numbers or letters after the model numbers are not important for this part. The thermistor has a 4 prong connector that will snap into the light fixture located up at the light bracket. The other end clips to the 2nd fin from the right hand side.
Fits all:
- 1200 (all models)
- 1201 (all models)
- 1210 (all models)
- 1211 (all models)
- N1095 (all models)
Status:
Discontinued and out of production. Norcold is no longer making this thermistor. That said, there is another thermistor that operates the exact same way but, has a shorter wire that will not reach all the way to the 2nd fin. That does matter when it comes to cooling performance, however, it's the only solution that exists.

Fixed my frosting problem and is very easy to install
This product is great except it should include the clip for the thermistor sensor unit. The old clip is generally rusted and requires replacement, also, but you don't realize it until after you begin to install the new wires.

the fix
Needed something that would work to cool the fridge, and it just happened to be the thermistor. Glad it wasn't anything else. $30.00 a little much for such a small part. Trouble shooting guide showed how to analyze the problem from the diagnostics which are not in the manual.
