Norcold Lower Door Falling Off/ Fell Off! (lower door broke at hinge)
Posted on
Has your Norcold refrigerator door broken off at the lower hinge?!
Overweighted doors have been known to break off at the lower hinge. Unfortunately, this hinge is a molded piece to the door and cannot be replaced separate from the door itself. For those of you who have had this problem, we recommend purchasing the reinforced hinge kit along with the new door. The reinforced hinge kit is a bracket that reinforces the hinge holding the door, designed to prevent it from falling off in the future. The original door hinge has a history of breaking with smooth interior textured doors for the following Norcold models:
- N611
- N621
- N622
- N641
- N811
- N821
- N822
- N841
- N1095
- 1200 (the hinge kit does not work with this model)
- 1210 (the hinge kit does not work with this model)
Norcold came out with this hinge kit to reinforce the bottom end of the door. It has a Norcold part number of 634166 and is something we keep in stock. Click the link below to view the Norcold reinforced hinge kit 634166.
