Is There Condensation Inside Your Norcold Refrigerator? (It's raining in my frig!)

Posted on

If you are finding excess condensation inside your refrigerator compartment, or possibly excess frost in your freezer compartment, you most likely have a door seal issue. These are common indicators that air is getting into the refrigerator. First, inspect your refrigerator's door seals. If the seals are in tact, try doing "the dollar bill test". Grab a dollar bill or a folded over piece of paper and work it around the refrigerator door, beneath the seal. There should be good tension! If you find that there are spots around the door seal that don't have much tension, you are going to need to adjust your door!

If you need to adjust your Norcold refrigerator door, know that there are not adjustment holes for your hinge. To adjust the door, simply back out the screws around the door hinges until it is somewhat loose, get the door where it's making good contact, and then begin tightening them back down. It's a finicky job and can be frustrating!
