MEANING | POSSIBLE SOLUTION | |
---|---|---|
Power On indicator is solid red | Fridge tried to start on selected energy source and failed | Try the manual mode if in auto. Try the auto mode if in manual. Check for empty LP tank. Check shore power. Check Fridge Defend voltage to fridge function. See our troubleshooting guide. |
Red light flashing one time | AC Heater Fault | Check shore power. Check heater resistance, should be 46 to 50 Ohms. Click here to test your AC heater! |
Red light flashing two times | Norcold Control Fault | Check the LP gas solenoid valve wires. Check LP gas solenoid valve resistance 74-92 Ohms. If it's within spec, replace the power board. |
Red light flashing two times | Norcold Control Fault | You will need to replace the power board. |
Red light flashing four times | AC Heater Stuck On | This would indicate a bad relay on the board and you would need to replace the power board. |
Red light flashing five times | LP Gas Flame when flame should not be lit. | Check the voltage to the LP gas solenoid, if there is voltage when there should not, the relay is stuck on the control board, see row above for suggestions. The LP gas solenoid valve is stuck open, clean with solvent. |
Red light flashing eight times | 12VDC power supply low at fridge | Measure input DC voltage to the power board. If you're below 11VDC, your batteries need to be charged up before running. If you have good power at the board, check on both sides of your DC fuse. |
Red light flashing nine times | 120VAC power supply high at fridge | Measure the input voltage at the plug on the outside, behind the refrigerator. If you have good power at the plug, next check your glass fuse on the power board. |
Red light flashing ten times | The communications between the control panel and the main control board has stopped. | All one can do is check the wiring for a loose connection. If everything is connected properly and fittings are tight, we know that one of the two boards has failed. |
Green light flashing once | The fridge is on AC and control is in the limp mode. | Fridge thermistor has failed or the wiring is open. Click here to test your thermistor! |
Amber light flashing once | The fridge is on LP and control is in the limp mode. | Fridge thermistor has failed or the wiring is open. |
