Description
Dometic Freezer Door Spring LH 2002237002
This genuine Dometic freezer door spring, part number 2002237002, is the left-hand (LH) spring that gives the freezer door its closing tension on older Dometic RM-series absorption refrigerators, including the RM23xx, RM24xx, RM25xx, RM35xx and RM36x/46x/66x families.
Why replace it
When the freezer door spring breaks, rusts or loses tension, the freezer door won't snap closed or seal tightly. That lets warm air in, causes heavy frost around the door, and makes the refrigerator work harder.
Please note
- This is the left-hand spring. Match it to the side of your original.
- Spring only. The spring sits in a plastic spring housing. If your housing is cracked, replace it at the same time: Dometic LH spring housing 2002236004.
Installation
Remove the screw holding the spring housing, take out the old spring, fit the new spring into the housing in the same orientation, and reinstall. Tools: screwdriver. Takes about 10 minutes.
