Dometic Thermal Fuse Kit 38514090155 – DMA Series
This genuine Dometic thermal fuse kit, part number 38514090155, is the overheat safety fuse for Dometic DMA-series refrigerators, including the DMA4064, DMA4067, DMA4068, DMA4081, DMA4084 and DMA4087. If the area around the cooling unit's boiler gets too hot, the thermal fuse opens and shuts the refrigerator down, which helps prevent a fire.
Signs you may need it
- The refrigerator is completely dead on all modes, but the 12V supply and the board fuses are good
- A continuity test shows the thermal fuse is open
Important safety note
A thermal fuse usually opens because something overheated, often a failing cooling unit or blocked ventilation. Find and correct the cause before replacing the fuse. Never bypass the thermal fuse.
What's included
As shown in the product photo: the thermal fuse with its red lead wire, the mounting bracket and small hardware. Some kits ship with the fuse not yet seated in the bracket, so mount it before installing.
Installation
Turn off the refrigerator and disconnect AC and DC power. Through the exterior vent, note the old fuse's position and wiring (take a photo), install the new fuse and bracket in the same location, and reconnect the leads. Tools: screwdriver. Takes about 15–30 minutes.
