Norcold Evaporator Door Spring Holder With Spring 619041 (fits several models!)

This is the evaporator door spring holder and silver spring that fits on the right hand side of the evaporator door. This fits many smaller model refrigerators with the interior freezer door. This part fits all N300, N400, N500, DE540, DE541 and the DE0041/ DE0040.

The door spring holder was fine, however I had to remove the hinge from the bottom of the freezer door as there was too much space between the hinge and spring assembly. I reamed out the holes on the hinge plate so that i could take up some space. Otherwise, when I would close the door, the spring assembly would jump off and release the tension.
Perfect fit and function but look at you-tube for installation.

Perfect fit and function but look at ayou-tube for installation. The part gets installed upside down, then install the door, then swivel the part 180 degrees to snap into position.

I followed a you tube install video, but it still took me 3 install/de-installs before I finally got the door to shut properly

Hinge Spring Unit is Champ!

The old hinge snapped off about two months ago and I went to the local garage where they work on RVs and they said they would order it for me. I had already ordered a new door that came without this handy little hinge that I needed. Well the garage is so busy with other things they never got around to ordering this part and told me that it was back ordered and gave me a lot of song and dance. I got online and found the part from this company and it was delivered in three or four days. A friend of mine came over and figured out how to set the spring and fix the door and I can throw away the duct tape. It works perfectly.
