Norcold Thermistor Assembly (618548)
This component senses the temperature inside your refrigerator compartment. It tells the refrigerator to turn on or off in order to reach the desired temperature.
Works with the following Norcold refrigerator models:
- N6XX: N611, N621, N622, N641, N642
- NX611, NX641, NXA641
- N8XX: N811, N821, N822, N841, N842, N843
- NX811, NX841, NXA841
- 900 series: 962, 963
- 9000 series: 9162, 9163, 9182, 9183
- 2117
Any numbers or letters after the model numbers are not important for this part. The thermistor has a 4 prong connector that will snap into the light fixture located up at the light bracket. The other end clips to the 10th fin from the right hand side.
Troubleshooting:
Potential issues a new thermistor can solve:
- Freezing everything in refrigerator compartment, regardless of temperature setting.
- Temperature setting having little to no effect on inside temperatures.
- No cooling at all.
- Insufficient cooling.

thermistor easy fix
the order was accurate and shipped in adequate time. I was suprised that a new clip did not come with the product. But easy to install. Also could have used some directions but managed to install using U tube.

Why didn't they send a new clip to fasten the Thermistor to the fin.Had to use the old rusty clip.

IT WORKS
I lost the ability to control temp settings. and would not allow the gas to start up. After reading a few reviews and tech items here I purchased a new temp sensor. WOW dang thing took right off. working good. thak you, fair price and fast shipping.

freezing problem
Refrigerator was freezing all of my food. I was told in an Email by someone here that my thermistor was causing this and they were right. Refrigerator is working like it used to.

Thermistor was the frosting & freezing problem
We had problems of the refrigerator freezing the soda & water bottles. We also experienced major frosting of the fins in the back of the refrigerator. By replacing the thermister it corrected both issues.
