Dometic Freezer Door Spring Housing 2002236012 – Right Hand (RH)
This genuine Dometic spring casing (spring housing), part number 2002236012, is the right-hand housing for the freezer door spring on older Dometic RM-series absorption refrigerators. It holds the spring that keeps tension on the freezer door so the door closes and seals properly.
Why replace it
The plastic housing cracks with age and cold, and the freezer door then loses spring tension. You'll notice a freezer door that won't stay shut, doesn't seal, or frosts up quickly around the door. A worn freezer door seal also makes the refrigerator work harder to cool.

- Housing only. It does not include the spring or the door.
- This is the right-hand housing. The left-hand housing is part number 2002236004. Match the side to your original part.
Installation
Open the freezer door and remove the screw holding the old housing (the slotted mounting hole is visible in the photo). Transfer the spring to the new housing, position it the same way, and reinstall the screw. Tools: screwdriver. Takes about 10 minutes.
