Dometic Gas Valve / Burner / Igniter Assembly 3850730569
This genuine Dometic gas valve assembly, part number 3850730569, is a complete LP (propane) kit for many Dometic 6, 7, 8 and 9 cu. ft. refrigerators. It includes the gas valve, burner #2007419217 and igniter, ready to replace the whole LP control section at the lower rear of the refrigerator.
What it does
The gas valve controls the flow of propane to the burner when the refrigerator runs in LP mode. The igniter lights the burner, and the burner heats the cooling unit's boiler. If any part of this chain fails, the refrigerator won't cool on gas.
Signs you may need it
- The refrigerator works on AC but not on LP gas
- No propane reaches the burner, even with a full tank and good ignition clicks
- The flame won't stay lit, or the valve won't open
- A corroded, sticking or leaking valve, or a damaged burner
Before replacing, confirm LP supply pressure and 12V power to the valve, and check for a clogged burner orifice.

- LP inlet fitting: 3/8" male flare
Installation
- Turn off the refrigerator, shut off the LP supply at the tank, and disconnect 12V power.
- Through the exterior refrigerator vent, disconnect the LP line and the valve wiring.
- Remove the old valve/burner assembly and install the new one in the same position.
- Reconnect the 3/8" flare LP line and the wiring.
- Turn the LP back on and leak-test every connection with soapy water before operating.
Tools: wrenches and a screwdriver. Takes about 30–60 minutes.
