How Do I Identify a Norcold 628661 Power Board?
One of the easiest ways to identify the Norcold 628661 is by its connector configuration. The 628661 uses two separate plug connectors: one row of 10 pins and one row of 6 pins.
Earlier-style Norcold power boards are generally more rectangular and commonly use a single 16-pin connector. If your existing board has the same appearance and 10-pin plus 6-pin connector arrangement as the 628661 shown in our product photos, you have the later-style board.
What Does the Norcold 628661 Power Board Do?
The 628661 is the refrigerator's main control board. It receives 12-volt DC power and manages or supplies power to several refrigerator systems, including the front control panel, AC heating circuit, and LP gas ignition system.
Symptoms of a Possible Bad Norcold Power Board
A failed 628661 power board may cause symptoms such as:
- Refrigerator will not power on
- Refrigerator does not detect AC power
- Refrigerator does not detect the AC heating element
- LP gas ignition failure
- Refrigerator does not sense a flame
- Intermittent or erratic operation
- Refrigerator will not reset
- Visible electrical burn marks or damaged components on the power board
Depending on the refrigerator model, a failed board may also be associated with an SR code, an S code, or a repeating control-panel light flash.
These symptoms do not automatically confirm a bad power board. Check incoming 12-volt power, fuses, wiring, ground connections, and related refrigerator components before replacing the board.
Is Norcold 50723 the Same as 628661?
Yes. Norcold 50723 is an alternate/current replacement number associated with the Norcold 628661 power board. Searches for Norcold 628661, Norcold 50723, 628661 control board, and 628661 circuit board generally refer to this same OEM replacement board.
Why Does the Norcold Serial Number Matter?
Norcold changed power-board designs during the production of several refrigerator families. Because of this, two refrigerators with the same model number can require different power boards.
For example, later N611 and N811 refrigerators use the 628661 beginning with serial number 9056492. Earlier units use an older-style board or replacement kit. Always verify the model and serial number before ordering.
Where Is My Norcold Model and Serial Number?
The refrigerator model and serial number are normally located on the Norcold data label inside the refrigerator compartment. Provide both numbers when requesting help with power-board fitment.

happy with service
Someone helped me in the chat window and eventually told me which board I need for my 1210 model. The part came packaged well in 3 business days even though I paid for $5 ground. So happy our refrigerator is back working!

Helpful reviews!
Glad I read the reviews before ordering. I wasn't sure exactly what I needed until I read a customer review with the same problem as me. Norcold N641 wouldn't turn on and just showed me SR. Apparently this means it's either a bad power source or a bad Norcold power board. I chose right!

Fixed one issue
After replacing board the unit still gave me six (yes six) flashing lights. But I was able to get power through the new board. Cleaned contacts on the thermistor and unit worked perfect. Always clean connections first then check power through board.

good price and great shipping times
I've ordered through this company before and was really happy about the service. This time was no exception. The part arrived in just a couple of days even though I paid $5 for ground shipping and after I got it they assisted me over the phone with the installation. I got a bit mixed up with the connections. I recommend taking a picture of the board before disconnecting anything HA

Thank YOU
Turn the frig on this year to find out it wouldn't work. After some diagnosis from Norcold Guy we determined my circuit board had a short. Ordered it and got it in 3 days. Install is really easy, and that's saying something if it's coming from me..
