Norcold N7X/ N8X Flashing Three Times / Limit Circuit Fault (quick fix!)

× 3, pause 5 sec

FLASH PATTERN 3

Norcold N7X / N8X Limit Circuit Fault

The red light flashes three times, goes off for 5 seconds and repeats. A limit circuit on the main control board (power board assembly) is open. The fix is a new power board.

Before you start

  • Note the code. Count the flashes twice to be sure it’s 3 and not 2 or 4. Those point to different faults.
  • Stay safe. Turn the fridge OFF and unplug it from 120V and 12V before removing the board.

STEP 1

Reset the fridge once

Turn the fridge OFF, then back ON. This clears the code so you can see if it comes back.

Replace the power board
