The display board sensed one or both fresh food doors open for more than 2 minutes, and turned the interior light off. It clears when both doors are closed.
Before you start
- Where the switches are. One light switch above each fresh food door, at the top of the compartment.

The Norcold 2118 four-door, 2-way (120V AC and propane) refrigerator, including the IM (ice maker) and IMD (ice maker and dispenser) versions.
What you’ll see
dr on the display with the alarm beeping.
STEP 1
Close both doors
Close and latch both fresh food doors.
Does dr clear?
You’re done
A door just wasn’t fully closed.
STEP 2
Check the doors
Check that both doors latch (adjust the strike plate if needed), the latches work, the doors are aligned and not warped, the hinge bushings aren’t worn and the bottom hinges aren’t bent.
Did you find a problem?
Fix the door
Adjust or replace the latch, strike, hinge or door.
STEP 3
Test the light switches
Hold each door’s light switch in by hand.
Does the light go off when each switch is held?
Replace the light switch
The switch isn’t telling the board the door is closed.
