Two faults at once, in AUTO mode: AC dropped below 85 volts, so the fridge switched to propane, and then the burner wouldn’t light.
Before you start
- Good voltage is 10.5 to 15.4 volts DC for the controls and 108 to 132 volts AC for the heaters.
- Where things are. The power board, fuses, burner, gas valve and the Temperature Monitor Control (TMC) are behind the lower outside vent. The display and buttons are at the top front of the fridge.

The Norcold 2118 four-door, 2-way (120V AC and propane) refrigerator, including the IM (ice maker) and IMD (ice maker and dispenser) versions.
What you’ll see
The display cycles through no AC, then no FL, while the alarm beeps.
Did that fix the AC?
Half done
It’ll run on AC again. Still fix the gas side so it can switch over.
STEP 2
Fix the gas side
Work through no FL: gas supply, burner, electrode, pressure and the gas valve.
Do both check good?
Repair what you found
Fix the AC and gas problems you found.
Replace the power board
Both power sources are fine, so the board is at fault. It’s behind the lower outside vent, under a cover on the back of the fridge. See Norcold 2117 / 2118 parts or ask a tech to confirm the right board.
