Norcold 2118 FL -- Code (Flame With Gas Off)
The power board sensed a flame when the gas should be off. The gas valve is mechanically stuck open. This code can show in any mode.
Before you start
- Where things are. The power board, fuses, burner, gas valve and the Temperature Monitor Control (TMC) are behind the lower outside vent. The display and buttons are at the top front of the fridge.
- Safety first. Turn off the propane at the tank until the valve is replaced.

The Norcold 2118 four-door, 2-way (120V AC and propane) refrigerator, including the IM (ice maker) and IMD (ice maker and dispenser) versions.
What you’ll see
FL then --. The code alternates between its two halves while the alarm beeps.
STEP 1
Shut off the propane
Close the valve at the propane tank. The fridge can still run on 120V AC in MANUAL AC mode.
Replace the gas valve
Norcold’s fix for FL -- is a new gas valve. Leak test every connection afterward with soapy water. The original 2118 gas valve is discontinued, so ask a tech for the current replacement.
