Norcold 1200 / 1210 AC rE Code (AC Relay Stuck Closed)
The display alternates between AC and rE and the alarm beeps. The relay on the power board that switches the AC heaters is stuck closed, so the controls sense heater current when the heaters are supposed to be off.
Before you start
- When it sets. In any operating mode, about 25 seconds after the board senses heater current that shouldn’t be there. It’s saved in the board’s memory.
- Not the heaters. This code is the relay on the board, not the AC heaters. If you see AC HE instead, see the AC HE flowchart.
- Stay safe. Turn the fridge OFF and disconnect 120V and 12V before removing the board.
STEP 1
Reset the fridge once
Turn the fridge OFF, then back ON. This clears the display so you can see if the code comes back.
